Competences – upon completion the learner will have acquired the responsibility and autonomy to:
a) Recognise the main types of woods through their colour, grain and scent.
b) Make the working space safe and free of possible hazards.
c) Be responsible for the upkeep of tools and equipment in good working conditions.
d) Produce a working drawing.
e) Transform a simple line drawing complete with measurements onto wood under supervision.
f) Carry out the necessary steps to prepare the different parts of an object.
g) Execute simple objects using basic woodwork skills.
h) Present a plan and design of own work in a written and verbal form
